![]() Couldn't find a way to check the cam or crank sensor. Changed apps to Car Gauge Pro (which is really finicky.can never keep that damn thing connected to the ECU for long, no matter what truck it's connected to) and ran a buzz test. So, pulled out the phone and OBD-II adapter and checked voltage. Went back a while later and nothing again. ![]() Turned it off so I could finish the rest of the work I wanted to do. Started right up and purred like a kitten. On the third cycle, about 15 seconds into it, the injectors buzzed for about 3/4 of a second. Thought maybe, just maybe, that fuel pressure hadn't built up because it had been sitting for a while and maybe the bowl was empty. I thought maybe there was the chance of it being warm enough that they wouldn't buzz (I think some versions of the software do that), so I tried cranking it. Today I installed fresh batteries and decided to try to fire it up. While I was in there, I replaced the connectors on the injector harness because hers had broken clips. Finally got around to getting her a new FICM (pre-programmed from Sinister) and installed it yesterday. ![]() Well, I won't say died, but it was definitely not running right and the FICM was to blame: 35V when running AFTER the glow plugs went out. grrrr So, my ex's truck died a few months back. Sorry if this has been gone over, but the search function isn't working for me for some reason. ![]()
